Possibly I should change this to a Monthly Update. *fails* Sorry. I haven’t really been in the mood for fandom things for awhile.

I’m slowly getting caught up on all the Manual translations and such that I’ve neglected recently, as well as the next chapter of the Nobuta wo. Produce novel, so look for those in the next week or so.

Also, I’ve decided that, rather than focus this site on all three You & J groups (KAT-TUN, NEWS, and Kanjani8), I’ll just stick with KAT-TUN. I can barely keep up with one group, so three would be impossible without massive amounts of help. Oh well.

It was announced on the 12th that Kamenashi Kazuya (22) will be starring in a new drama titled “Kami no Shizuku” (”Drops of God”) which will air on Tuesday nights at 10:00 starting in January and NTV. In the story, depicting human relations with a wine-theme setting, Kamenashi will challenge his first time playing the part of a salaryman, Kanzaki Shizuku, who, after the sudden death of his wine-critic father, must challenge his adopted brother in order to inherit his father’s wine collection.

“Kami no Shizuku” is based on a popular manga currently being published in Japan.

Kanzaki Shizuku (神咲雫), is the son of a recently deceased, world renowned wine critic Kanzaki Yutaka (神咲豐多香) who owns a vast wine collection. In order to take ownership of his legacy, he must find 13 wines, known as the “12 apostles” and the “Les Gouttes de Dieu” that his father described in his will. He has a competitor called Toomine Issei (遠峰一青), a renowned young wine critic, who is his father’s adopted son.

Shizuku has never drunk or has any previous knowledge about wines, but with strong senses of taste and smell, plus knowledge gained from his time with his father, and with support from his friends and colleagues like sommelier trainee Shinohara Miyabi (紫野原みやび), Shizuku submerges himself in the world of wines and tries to solve the mysteries of the 13 wines and defeat Toomine Issei.

I have received my first stage show. It’s the story of “Romeo and Juliet.” I’m nervous, but I feel like I want to try my best with all my might. Also, with this stage show, I think it’s good that I am able to make use of my music studies in the presentation.

Starting in January of next year, KAT-TUN’s Nakamaru Yuuichi (25) will have his first starring role in the TBS Saturday night drama called “Rescue ~ Special Advanced Rescue Team.” (ＲＥＳＣＵＥ～特別高度救助隊 (RESCUE ~ Tokubetsu Koudo Kyuujotai))

Set in Yokohama, the story is an original work about young men receiving intense training while experiencing youth, frustration, and the preciousness of life. Nakamaru will play the role of Kitashima Daichi *[北島大地], a special advanced rescue team cadet. Masuda Takahisa (22) of NEWS will also be appearing in the drama as Kitashima’s close cadet friend, Tezuka Shigeru. *[手塚豊]

Complete cooperation of the Yokohama City Safety Administration Bureau has been obtained and the two actors have visited the Yokohama City Safety Administration Bureau’s Residential Disaster Prevention Center. They have practiced things like descending a rope from 7 meters up and have learned the same practical skills as a real rescue team.

“First, I must build muscle. Because the group members do 500 sit-ups every day, I’m aiming for that goal and I’ll do my best,” Nakamaru said with a fighting spirit. Masuda, who will be working with Nakamaru for the first time, said in high spirits, “(With Nakamaru,) I want to help each other out and make it a ‘plus’.”

Also set to appear in the drama are Yamamoto Yuusuke, Kaname Jun, Ishibashi Ryo, and Ishiguro Ken.
